  • Advantage: Stable in high-salinity and high-temperature environments. It exhibits unique shear-thinning properties, reducing pump pressure while maintaining suspension when circulation stops.

2. CMC & PAC (Fluid Loss Control)

  • CMC (Carboxymethyl Cellulose): An economical fluid loss reducer and viscosifier. Available in High Viscosity (HV) and Low Viscosity (LV) grades.
  • PAC (Polyanionic Cellulose): A premium grade filtration control agent. PAC-LV reduces fluid loss without significantly increasing mud viscosity, while PAC-R provides both viscosity and filtration control.

3. Specialty Additives

  • Benzoic Acid: Used as a bridging agent in temporary diversion and as a preservative.
